Entrepreneur Nelson Sivalingam has created the solution to this dilemma in the form of Wonderush, a lifestyle membership that allows you to book and enjoy unlimited classes and experiences everyday for a flat monthly fee.  Can you tell us a little bit about your background and education? I graduated in Business and Management from Aston University and previously worked at Apple and L’Oreal in Sales and Digital Marketing. I’m also a filmmaker with a few shorts and a feature under my belt. What is Wonderush exactly and what was the inspiration behind it? Wonderush is a lifestyle membership that lets you book and enjoy unlimited classes and experiences everyday for free. Wonderush is for everyone who has any appetite for life and wants to do more with his or her free time. It is about stepping out of your comfort zone and making ‘trying something new’ a part of the routine. twerkngrind I love trying new things but it can be expensive and time-consuming to find. On the other hand, from previous work experience I realised many classes and experiences were still running under capacity and needed an economical means to generate new business on a regular basis. The combination of the above inspired me to build a platform that would connect hard-to-sell last minute tickets with people actively looking for things to do. wonderush, logo, London Did you have any previous entrepreneurial experience? I’ve dabbled in starting my own business since my late teens. I set up a production company before Uni making commercials, music videos and films. At Uni I started a quirky t-shirt brand (which is probably the most common business idea I come across). Not long after graduating, I started the video tech company One Minute City, which won O2 Smarta Micro Business of the Year award and was voted one of the top 100 startups in the country. Our mission is to inspire everyone in the world to step out of his or her comfort zone and live more awesome so we will be most definitely taking Wonderush to major cities in the UK and across the world. What has been the hardest part of launching Wonderush so far? The hardest part of launching Wonderush or any business for that matter is the constant battle between the eternal optimist and constant paranoia within you. Both are important but making sure you find the balance is the hardest part. Finally, if you could give some words of wisdom to other young entrepreneurs, what would they be? Be Curious. Ask questions. Lots of them. Ask them with an open mind and attentive ears. Try new things and put yourself in moments completely out of your comfort zone. Meet new people with a similar worldview, but more importantly meet those who see the world differently. Be a knowledge fiend and absorb as much as you can whether that’s from people, places, books or experiences – after all, idea generation is just the process of finding connections between lots of unconnected things in your mind.
